Donations: Time & Money

Would you like to volunteer?  If so, we need people in the following areas:

Registration... people at the start/finish to process race registrations. This would include looking up racer's names, marking them present, giving them their bib, tags and shirts. Answering racers questions and addressing their needs. Also, handing out water prior to start and snacks and water after finish.

Equipment and timers at Race Transitions (RT): people to handle equipment and individual leg timers to time the racers as they enter the RT. Equipment handlers will insure racers place their equipment in correct spot and is properly tagged. At bike RT volunteers will validate helmets are worn prior to leaving. At boat RT volunteers will validate PA permit and PFD. At boat take out, we'll need people lifting water filled kayaks out of the way... could be some heavy lifting here.

Aid Station/Tracking (AST): people to hand out water and crossing racers off the list as they pass. We want to keep track of the racers location... We don’t want anyone stranded in need of help.

If you can help in any of these areas, please send us an email at RideFloatRun@gmail.com

A race like this is not cheap to host...

There are many costs associated hosting events like these. Timing / promotion, insurance, EMS Services… Much of which is paid out of pocket prior to the event.

RFR has their eye set on MANY venues on the east coast (PA, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL) for Triyakathon. For starters, we would like to get a race in Harrisburg utilizing Susquehana River, River walk and the Parkway MTB trail system. We would like to get a race at Lake Raystown utilizing the lake and the Alligrippis Trail. BUT many pieces need to fall into place if this is going to happen... the biggest hurdle right now is cash. As an example, the City of Harrisburg would be charge RFR ~$2,000 in park fees alone!

To get races like this started, RFR needs donations.

Ride Float Run is a 501(c)(3) organization. Every little bit helps, thank you.
